Our YouTube Strategy Revealed

We last shared the behind-the-scenes of our website content strategy. But our website is only one of the platforms we’re producing content for. Another channel that’s important for us to take advantage of is YouTube.

This is our YouTube strategy revealed:

When you visit the Spoken Frame YouTube channel, you’ll quickly notice education as our focus for this platform.

Unlike Instagram or TikTok (which we’ll discuss in an email to come), we use YouTube to prioritize evergreen content.

Typically, these videos are longer in length and lifespan, have a higher production value, and offer us greater versatility in our overall content strategy.

From lighting and audio how-tos to teleprompter and interview tips, our YouTube videos reach various audiences like:

  • The up-and-coming videographer looking for green screen tips.

  • Current clients in need of resources for getting more comfortable in front of the camera.

  • Potential prospects wanting insight into the specifics of our approach and processes.

Not to mention, as a media company, YouTube is an excellent platform to reinforce the quality of our own production capabilities - another great way to add to our portfolio.

On YouTube, our videos stand as their own slices of discoverable content, but we maximize their value by incorporating them into our client experience.

For example, if we’re filming employee interviews for a client, we’ll send them to our channel as a resource hub to help them prepare for filming.

As someone who built their own video production skillset from using the platform, I see YouTube as a way to both propel my business forward and to give back through accessible education.

Is YouTube right for you?

Remember - your content strategy should always reflect the values and needs of your business.

  • Could a YouTube channel add value to your client experience?

  • Is YouTube where your ideal client is searching for you?

  • Is your potential return on investment worth the time it takes to produce and maintain a YouTube channel?

If not, then quick, bite-sized content on TikTok or Instagram might be more beneficial to your business.

Stay tuned for more insights into our social strategy on other platforms in an email to come.
